This homestay is one of the largest properties in Dalanwala, an elite residential zone of Dehradun.

The existing home has been revamped and converted into a 16-room homestay facility. Each unit is fully equipped with a seating area, bedroom, pantry, and study. Verandahs, the flavor of Dehradun has been used extensively. The existing building is around 50 years old and the new addition just flows in seamlessly.Ā  There is the use of projections at different levels in the facade which creates a dramatic play of light and shade.

The space

This is a sixty year old property set in a one acre compound in the heart of the city in Dalanwala. Dalanwala was originally a tea estate with an intricate canal system to water itā€™s litchi trees, set by the Rispana River. Initially, we were only forty bungalows in this area, but with urbanisation and an increase in population there are over 4000 houses and apartments here now, making Dalanwala one of the busiest and most sought after addresses of Dehradun.

Berry House is one of the few bungalows that still maintains its original size.

We have a total of 14 bedrooms and 3 serviced apartments that we let out. We steer clear of the term hotel. We are a home stay and provide all the comforts and convenience that you would find in your own home. Our ā€˜ghar ka khanaā€™ being our biggest usp makes us the most popular homestay of Dehradun.

Room rents vary depending on the category of room you select, based on the size of the room. All rooms have attached bathrooms, double beds, desks with table lamps, dressers, Air conditioners/heaters, LED/Led TVs, adequate storage space and seating.

Common areas include three common kitchens/pantryā€™s. All the kitchens are equipped with all modern gadgets, along with crockery, cutlery and utensils. We request our guests to be mindful whilst using these kitchens, and being considerate towards other guests in terms of hygiene.

There are large balconies and terraces all around the house for you to enjoy a fabulous view of the Mussoorie hills. There is a small garden which can be used by the guests (the larger part of the garden is strictly for the owners personal use)

As per the laws of the Government of India, we have to charge 12% GST on our room rent.

We have a walking track and dining room available for your use. We have a generator that backs up the power incase of a failure 24Ɨ7. We have an elevator with full support as our property is on 3 levels. High speed internet, running hot and cold water and room service are also available to guests. We have 24Ɨ7 security at the gate as well as CCTV cameras in various parts of the property. Even though we are a homestay and it is not a requirement, we have limited staff assistance through out the day and night.

Food

Ask for one of our food-inclusive packages. You can find a coffee/tea maker in your room, available at all times for use. A Kitchen is also available where guests can Cook their own meals.

Guest access

Attend your virtual meetings or check on your family using our high-speed internet connection and dedicated work space provision.

The common kitchen is assembled with crockery and cutlery. The house has all the necessary amenities like a heater, refrigerator, hair dryer,Ā  satellite TV, and others. Do not worry in case of a power cut; it will be restored shortly through the generator.

Be mindful of all the equipment, use them as if they were your own and try to conserve electricity and water wherever possible. The housekeeping will be at the house to ensure it is neat at all times; please reach out to them whenever needed.

Laundry services shall be made available at an extra charge- do notify us if you would like to access them.

Cancellation Policy:

Full refund for cancellations made within 48 hours of booking, if the check-in date is at least 14 days away. 50% refund for cancellations made at least 7 days before check-in. No refunds for cancellations made within 7 days of check-in.

House Rules

We would require a Government Approved photo ID and Vaccination Certificate of everyone (except children below 12 years of age)checking in

Check in time is 1:30 pm and Check out time is 11:30 am.

Early check ins and late check outs are subject to availability and are chargeable (please check with us a day prior to your requirement so no inconvenience is caused to you)
